Plantar warts are small outgrowths on the foot sole that occur as a result of skin infections with human papillomavirus (HPV).
Plantar warts can be brownish in color, with a tough consistency and can have both smooth and rough texture. Warts can grow in isolated or in clusters. Generally, they heal themselves, but untreated, in time, they tend to get deeper into the skin layer.
The following natural remedies can get you rid of plantar warts without the need to see a doctor.
Apple vinegar – soak a cotton swab in apple vinegar and apply on warts, then cover with a leucoplast. Before removing the leucoplast, it is advisable to soak the feet in warm water. Warts are sensitive to heat and can disappear within a few weeks if you soak your feet in hot water for 15 minutes daily.
