Armpit detox is a great way to detoxify your body and help reduce the risk of breast cancer. Did you know that many clinical studies found an unusually high number of breast cancers in the area where cosmetics are applied? The breast tissue is fat, and toxins are stored there.
Most commercial deodorants and products we use every day contain parabens, aluminum chlorohydrate, propylene glycol, TEA and DEA, or quaternium 18. Many of these chemicals increase the risk of breast cancer by mimicking the estrogen. Most cases of breast cancers develop first as hormone-dependent cancers, that is to say the growth and progression of the disease correlates with the level of estrogen.
In a study published in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry in 2007, the researchers tested breast samples from 17 patients who underwent a mastectomy. Women who used antiperspirants had aluminum deposits in the external breast tissue. Aluminum concentrations were highest in the tissue closest to the armpit.
According to some experts, parabens also increase the risk of breast cancer by mimicking estrogen. The researchers found parabens in autopsied breast tumors. Dr. Darbre says: “Parabens are used as preservatives in many beauty care, pharmaceutical and food products, but this is the first study to show their accumulation in human tissues. This shows that if people are exposed to these toxins, they accumulate in the body”.
